Hrag, great piece. That quote from Oldenburg is fantastic. I remember back in the heady days of the late 80s and early 90s when even private school schmucks like myself fashioned ourselves as “taggers” hanging out at Pearl Paint looking for markers and black books. There were some very talented artists at my high school, one wrote “Mien” which for a while was literally all over Manhattan. Kid had mad skilles, unlike me.
