I was holding true to my loyal and unwavering support of America’s Next Top Model until I read: “Mirroring it back in a gallery-ready package just offers the same feeling of wasted time that actually sitting on your ass in front of a screen does. And that’s just not worth the trip to Chelsea, dead plants or no.”

Yeah Jackson, exactly. Alex Bag has enjoyed remarkable success. But being a lauded veteran means there should be even an even higher bar. I thought Cindy Sherman’s last show was awful too, even though I have great respect for her early work. You can’t just recycle your greatest hits.

It seems like what Bag is trying to do is surround herself with various interesting topics and then stand in the middle of them and do her “artist shtick thing”, without actually engaging with these topics. Kilston appears to be asking why this is acceptable from such an art veteran. It is a question that should be asked over and over again.
