Just wanted to mention that the City of Melbourne actually targets both tags and 'stand-alone stencils' (their words) for removal - they say that they have a policy of zero tolerance towards both. And it's clear from their buffing policies that it doesn't matter if there are tags on a work or not - if it's in the 'wrong' place (in their eyes), then it should go!

Hi Howie,

Just wanted to mention that the City of Melbourne actually targets both tags and ‘stand-alone stencils’ (their words) for removal – they say that they have a policy of zero tolerance towards both. Scribble taggers should be shot. They give real street artists problems because towns group them together.

Fact is if all those asshole taggers didn’t scribble their name all over the city would of had no reason to rub stuff out. I'm not very good with identifying Australian flowers, since I'm actually a Scot, and find the amazing flora there kind of mystifying. But yes, it makes it all the funnier that the flower is a banksia.

Oh, that’s great – I love it that it’s a ‘banksia’.
