With Armory Week rapidly sneaking up on us, there are two things you’re going to need to survive: a guide to which shows are going on where and a strong drink (or several). Thankfully, WAGMAG and Pernod are here to solve both of those problems.
This Saturday, March 9, is Armory Arts Week’s Brooklyn Night, with a slew of galleries launching special projects and staying open late in New York’s coolest borough. Art spaces in Williamsburg will open their doors till 10 PM, with installations like Kevin Cooley’s “Skyward” ceiling projection at Pierogi’s The Boiler and playwright and designer John Jesurun’s performance at Ventana244, among many other happenings. Bushwick galleries like Interstate Projects, NURTUREart, and Regina Rex will also be open till 10.
Thankfully, with so much going on, there’s an app to help you figure out both which shows to attend and which Williamsburg bars to belly up to. Get your bearings for Brooklyn Armory Night by downloading WAGMAG and Pernod Absinthe’s The Art & Absinthe Guide to Brooklyn to help you navigate the exhibitions, special events, projections and installations the night has to offer.
The Art & Absinthe Guide to Brooklyn also features monthly gallery listings, GPS mapping, and seamless integration with all forms of social media, so you can let all your friends know where you’ve been and what you’ve seen.
Today might be National Absinthe Day, but the celebration should stretch well into the weekend with Pernod Absinthe’s cocktails on tap at many of Brooklyn Armory Night’s participating galleries. See you there!
