There’s an ART world? I guess it depends on who you know.
Actually… the art world does need to get its head out of James Franco’s ass.
How doe the art world have IHIJFA?
And Jay Zs ass while the are at it.
Any “real” celebrity that either pays attention to, or makes art, is clung to by gallerists, curators etc. and obsessed over. Maybe for just a short while. But a short while too long.

me!
The art world, as with many communities, is heavily influenced by “who you know”.
and my response to that is…Get your ass up and get out of the house and get out and say HELLO to people and get to know them. Then they will learn about your art, and if it’s good to them, they just might help you.
Well, yes. My comment was in response to the comic which implies that it’s not an accurate observation.
believe me. i understand. but that is one lame excuse I hear all the time from people about the art world. EVERY business is like that. We can’t expect Mary Boone to be wondering about google’s search page everyday looking for new great artists ya know. 😉
But the comic suggests it’s not accurate. It is accurate.
sure is.
I’ll be the commentor who doesn’t read the article but uses the comment space to say check out my website.

You mean that thing on the wall, first frame? I thought that was a sculpture.
And this ‘who’ everyone talks about knowing??
All of your sketches are so deep!
