The Hammer Museum’s biennial exhibition Made in L.A. 2014 features works by 35 Los Angeles artists with an emphasis on emerging and under-recognized artists. It debuts recent work and new painting, installation, video, sculpture, photography, and performances created specifically for the exhibition. On view June 15 through September 7, the exhibition is accompanied by a hardcover catalogue and a full schedule of free public programs.

Artists include Juan Capistrán, Danielle Dean, Harry Dodge, Lecia Dole-Recio, Kim Fisher, Judy Fiskin, Magdalena Suarez Frimkess and Michael Frimkess, Mariah Garnett, Gerard & Kelly, Samara Golden, Piero Golia, Tony Greene, Marcia Hafif, Channing Hansen, Jibade-Khalil Huffman, James Kidd Studio, Barry Johnston, KCHUNG,  Devin Kenny, Gabriel Kuri, Caitlin Lonegan, Los Angeles Museum of Art, Tala Madani, Max Maslansky, Emily Mast, Jennifer Moon, Brian O’Connell, Harsh Patel, Marina Pinsky, Public Fiction, Sarah Rara, A.L. Steiner, Ricky Swallow, Clarissa Tossin, and Wu Tsang.

Three awards are presented in conjunction with Made in L.A. 2014: The Mohn Award ($100,000) and the Career Achievement Award ($25,000), both selected by a professional jury, as well as the Public Recognition Award ($25,000), which is determined by public vote.
