  1. Now this I can relate to. My dad was in hospice care (and passed away) in the beginning of the last year of my BFA. While I wasn’t cartooning per se, the act of “making” artwork really helped distract and dig deeper into the reality of what was happening. In many ways, it really helped make my grieving process very productive both emotionally and mentally.
