The second Hyperallergic IRL event at Housing Works takes place on Tuesday, August 16! This time around we’ll feature more readings and rantings from the editors, writers, contributors, and friends of the World’s Greatest Art Blogazine and include a brand new segment.
Hyperallergic IRL will bring the best of Hyperallergic.com to the Housing Works Bookstore as select Hyperallergic writers (Carey Dunne, Seph Rodney, and Claire Voon) and editors (Elisa Wouk Almino, Jillian Steinhauer, and Hrag Vartanian) will read from their work. It will also be the first time Hyperallergic Weekend’s Beer with a Painter series will come to life as writer and art historian Jennifer Samet interviews world-renowned painter Philip Pearlstein at the event.
Like the first Hyperallergic IRL, this isn’t your average reading. We’re planning a round of art trivia (with prizes!) and dramatic reenactments of some of our favorite comment flame wars.
Here’s everything you need to know:
Tuesday, August 16, 7pm
Housing Works Bookstore Cafe
126 Crosby Street, Manhattan

There will be food and beverages available for purchase, with all proceeds going directly to Housing Works.

We can’t wait!
