Pratt Institute’s Fine Arts Department, a recognized leader in the visual arts that offers BFA and MFA degrees, is seeking a department chair to provide leadership by articulating and carrying out a shared vision within a large and diverse department. Applicants should have strong administrative experience, an equitable leadership style, and must be conversant with issues in contemporary art.
The selected candidate will be expected to advance the goals of the Fine Arts Department through active student recruitment and faculty development. The chair is responsible for cultivating support for its programs and raising the visibility of the department within Pratt and the larger community.
