Open Call: In Out Festival 2017 at the Laznia Centre for Contemporary Art

This year, the Laznia Center invites artists to enter the contest by submitting Experiments / Video / Documents / Animations with the theme, ‘word/image.’

In Out Festival is an annual project organized by Poland’s Laznia Centre for Contemporary Art (Laznia CCA) since 2005. The festival includes lectures, film screenings, concerts, and an international contest.

This year, the Laznia Center invites artists to enter the contest by submitting Experiments / Video / Documents / Animations with the theme, ‘word/image.’

A jury will select 20 artists to be invited to Gdańsk to present their work at Laznia CCA during reviews at the festival.

Awards:
First prize in the amount of 5,000 PLN (~$1,200 USD) funded by the Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship Mieczysław Struk.
Second prize in the amount of 4,000 PLN (~$1,000 USD) funded by the Laznia CCA.

In addition to the monetary prizes, artists will be recognized via honorable mentions and the best video works will be released on DVD.

The contest is directed at visual and film artists over the age of 18. Videos should have a duration of between 1 to 20 minutes and should not be older than 3 years.

The deadline for submissions is March 27, 2017.
