Perfect. Now let’s go a step further: Stop taking photos. Period. That’s extreme I admit. ButI want to suggest that almost all photos are taken without actual intent (emotional, artistic or spiritual–even commercial) but merely because we have the ability to take them; in such cases the camera or phone is a barrier between us and experience. Try to achieve some independence from technology.Taking pictures just because you CAN makes you a slave: technology is telling you what to do.Where I will be categorical is this: Don’t take selfies. Ever. Don’t be the kind of person who takes selfies, and not just because that means you won’t step backwards off a cliff or into moving traffic while doing so.
