In the 1880’s the Victorian Industrial Architecture of The Village factory in East Orange was the site of the original Johnson and Johnson corporation, then known as Seabury and Johnson. It has since transformed into a diverse community of creative makers and thinkers and is now a nexus for artists who work in filmmaking, photography, painting, and sculpture, as well as those challenging the mediums of what are conventionally considered art forms.
Over two days in October, artists will open their studios for visitors to explore their spaces, experience their work in progress, and meet to engage with their ideas and projects.
Join the artists at Manufacturers Village in East Orange, New Jersey on Saturday and Sunday, October 20 and 21, between 1 and 5 pm. There will be ample space for off street parking. The event is free and open to the public.
As arts communities around the world experience a time of challenge and change, accessible, independent reporting on these developments is more important than ever.
