It’s Friday, so it’s time to sort through our inbox and find some of the most unusual and bizarre things we’ve received this week. And we think we have a winner.

This video was emailed to us yesterday with the following message:

Yassy Goldie offers $secrets to art world Sexsess!!!

In a SMS-friendly jargon, this fictitious persona, who according to their Facebook profile is reputedly from Dubai and lives in Boston, has created an infomercial-like video about artists and their online personas. If there was a cult of art coaches, this would be their orientation video. Did I mention Goldie is “master representative” of Gyjd, whatever that is.

When “Yassy Goldie” spoke at TEDXSomerville, this was the following description of Gyjd:

GJYD is the manipulation of ideas and emotions in order to shift focus onto otherwise hidden agendas or social injustices. Using elements of truth, irony, humor and satire, GJYD is meant to target closed-mindedness, prejudice, hatred and unquestioning thinking.

At least that sounds noble.
