Christie’s Education is unique as the only academic institution wholly owned by an auction house. All programs have been developed to provide focused and intensive training for students looking to start a career in the art world.
Christie’s Education is committed to facilitating access to their programs and expanding opportunities to students from all backgrounds. In support of this, The Christie’s Education Trust in conjunction with Christie’s Education, New York is offering a joint tuition and living expenses scholarship for one student in each of the following master’s programs commencing in September 2019:
- M.A. in Art, Law and Business
- M.A. in Modern and Contemporary Art and the Market
Christie’s Education, New York will waive the tuition and fees for the relevant program and Christie’s Education Trust will make available a living expenses award known as the Reginald Browne Award. The award provides a total of $30,000 towards the cost of accommodation and other living expenses during the program.
This scholarship will be awarded to candidates who demonstrate financial need and are committed to diversity and inclusivity in the art world. Candidates will be assessed on the following requirements:
- Application form
- Resume
- Financial documentation for means testing
- A 1,000 to 1,500-word essay
- A phone interview by invitation only (please note that not all candidates will be invited to interview).
Candidates for this award must have completed their application for admission and interviewed by no later than March 31, 2019 in order to be considered.
