The two — DARK on left, LIGHT on right — versions of the *NEW* Hyperallergic wallpapers designed by Tim McCool.

It’s Memorial Day in the USA and we’ve decided to dole out a small thank you present to all our readers and fans in the form of iPad and iPhone wallpapers.

We asked artist Tim McCool to work his skills and dream up something playful, quirky and colorful for those who are tired of all those nature shots or fall leaf close-ups that dominate the world of digital wallpaper.

McCool’s design, which he says is inspired by “allergy shots,” is our attempt to inoculate your mobile device from the bad mojo of the big bad world out there. Enjoy.
