The Leading Thinkers seminar series was created to complement the research undertaken in the degree programs of the European Graduate School. In the course of these 10-week seminars, participants have the opportunity to review the philosophies of major contributors to contemporary critical thought with distinguished writers and theorists.

These seminars are designed to give a fresh and informed take on the texts, allowing participants to work with these essential references in contemporary debate. Those with limited familiarity with these authors’ works and those who have considerable experience with them can benefit from the series. The special strengths of the seminar leaders will make this unique form of “introduction” possible. Past seminars on authors such as Lacan, Hegel, Marx, Derrida, and Deleuze have proven immensely successful in this respect.
