# Affordable Art Fair NYC Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary

The [Affordable Art Fair](https://bit.ly/3t04DyG?ref=hyperallergic.com) returns to New York City from Wednesday, March 23 through Sunday, March 27 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea. The Spring Edition features presentations by over 75 local, national, and international galleries and marks the kickoff of the fair’s 20th Anniversary celebration in New York.

With editions around the world, the Affordable Art Fair has a long history of acting as an entry point for curious art-goers and new collectors seeking access to the contemporary art market. Among the Affordable Art Fair NYC’s exhibitors are Linda Blackstone Gallery and Art Movement, two of four legacy galleries that have participated in the fair since its debut 20 years ago. Standout newcomers to this year’s edition include the New York-based Jonathan Spies Miller Fine Art, LLC, and Paris-based Galerie Duret.

**Programming Highlights**  
The Young Talent Exhibition features a site-specific installation by artist Traci Johnson, curated by Arts Gowanus. Specializing in textile design, installation, and sculpture, Johnson designs bright and warping soft-sculpture artworks that explore methods of comfort, creating a euphoric, healing safe space for themselves and others within their plush artwork.

The fair will also reintroduce its Curatorial Excellence Award, presented to exhibitors whose booths demonstrate distinction in the intentionality, concept, and presentation of works displayed.
