# An Anthology of Resistance Poetry Launches at the Queens Museum

In the aftermath of President Trump’s election, poets have had no trouble articulating their discontent. A new anthology titled [*Resist Much / Obey Little: Inaugural Poems to the Resistance*](http://www.spuytenduyvil.net/resist-much-obey-little.html?ref=hyperallergic.com)gathers the passionate, fierce work of 350 poets in 740 pages, published by Dispatches Editions/Spuyten Duyvil Press. The brainchild of Michael Boughn and Kent Johnson of [Dispatches from the Poetry Wars](http://www.dispatchespoetry.com/home/about?ref=hyperallergic.com), the anthology was a collaboration with 16 other editors who commissioned and selected work to create, in the words of one them, Anne Waldman, a “book of love and resistance.”

This Sunday, celebrate the anthology’s[ launch at the Queens Museum](http://www.queensmuseum.org/events/book-launch-readings-resist-much-obey-little?ref=hyperallergic.com), where contributing poets, including Brenda Iijima, [Eileen Myles](https://hyperallergic.com/193813/four-poems-by-eileen-myles/), and [Matter Turner](https://hyperallergic.com/author/matt%5Fturner/), will read their work. Copies of the book will be for sale at $30, with half of the proceeds going to Planned Parenthood.
