Researchers from the Australian National University discovered at least 28 rock art sites on the small [Indonesian island of Kisar](http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/unexplored-indonesian-island-covered-tiny-2500-year-old-cave-paintings-1651542?ref=hyperallergic.com). The works are thought to be at least 2,500 years old.

[Saudi Arabia](https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/saudi-arabia-lifts-the-cinema-ban-after-35-years?ref=hyperallergic.com) lifted its 35-year-old ban on cinemas.

The [Museum of London](https://www.museumoflondon.org.uk/discover/putting-fatberg-display?ref=hyperallergic.com) will exhibit the last remaining piece of London’s “fatberg,” the 130-ton congealed mass of fat, oil, grease, and wet wipes discovered under London’s streets in September.

Works by [Khadija Saye](https://hyperallergic.com/the-spiritual-photographs-khadija-saye-left-behind/), the emerging artist who died in the Grenfell Tower Fire, will be exhibited as part of [*Actions. The image of the world can be different*](http://www.kettlesyard.co.uk/events/actions/?ref=hyperallergic.com) at Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge — the first exhibition at the gallery’s [newly redeveloped](http://www.kettlesyard.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Reopening-Press-Release-2017.pdf?ref=hyperallergic.com) space.

[Louise Blouin](https://nypost.com/2017/12/12/louise-blouin-finally-sells-huge-west-village-penthouse/?ref=hyperallergic.com), the owner of Louise Blouin Media, sold her 4,551-square-foot West Village penthouse apartment for $23.7 million. According to the *New York Post*, the publisher originally listed the apartment with an asking price of $60 million.
