Collective Gallery on Canal Street[**was allegedly a cover up for an illegal hotel**](http://www.boweryboogie.com/2014/01/clandestine-chinatown-hotel-gallery-front-busted-canal-street/?ref=hyperallergic.com), Bowery Boogie reported.
