Laurent Le Bon, head of Centre Pompidou-Metz, [**was appointed as the new president of the Musée Picasso in Paris**](http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/06/04/muse-picasso-in-paris-names-new-president/?partner=rss&emc=rss&smid=tw-nytimes&ref=hyperallergic.com), which has been caught in years of controversial delays over its expansion project.

The work’s whereabouts were long unknown until it was rediscovered in 2000.
