[Lightscape](https://bit.ly/3ZhytPH?ref=hyperallergic.com), Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s after-dark illuminated trail, returns this winter from November 22, 2024, to January 5, 2025\. Now in its fourth year, Lightscape has become a contemporary holiday classic for New York City, offering a magical seasonal experience for visitors of all ages.

This year’s reimagined trail features new light installations alongside returning favorites, created by artists from 10 countries. Highlights include the debut of “Lantern Garden” by Brian Thunder and Mandylights, with over 160 illuminated lanterns covering the lawn of the Osborne in an otherworldly installation. The iconic “Winter Cathedral” by Mandylights is back this year, welcoming visitors to walk through an immersive tunnel of thousands of warm lights. Also on view is the expansive “Winter Reflections” by ITHACA, a breathtaking moving light and music show that covers the entirety of Cherry Esplanade.

Special events include [21+ Nights](https://bit.ly/3CA7YMf?ref=hyperallergic.com) on December 12 and 19, where adults can enjoy mulled wine and hot cocktails, as well as [Sensory-Friendly Early Entry](https://bit.ly/49cWNpf?ref=hyperallergic.com) on December 18 and January 3, providing a more relaxed experience for those with sensory sensitivities.
