\. Sam Hayes – Reminding me of the Sharon Olds poem, [*The Pope’s Penis*](http://www.bryantmcgill.com/World%5FPoetry/~S/Sharon%5FOlds/Sharon%5FOlds%5FThe%5FPopes%5FPenis.html?ref=hyperallergic.com).

\. Unknown – Hula Hoop art. I have no objectivity. ROCKS!

\. [Aga Ousseinov](http://www.agaousseinov.com/h/?ref=hyperallergic.com) – This thing would have been interesting even if the globe had been round. But it’s square, like us. Inspiring form. Yaay.

\. Nick Cortese – When things fall apart we should *always* blame geometry.

\. Joe Howard – Oh, this is good. Especially diggin’ the raised paint and the tension between shape, color, and topography.

\. David Sherry – Didn’t like at first then I really liked. THEN I got the joke. Cock. Pussy. OMG. And then the 2nd piece: Officially on my list of interesting and smart arists not afraid of beauty and comedy. Wow.

\. [Blaze Lamper](http://oneartworld.com/artists/B/Blaze+Lamper.html?ref=hyperallergic.com) – Looks like a study for Alex Katz’s [*Autumn*](https://hyperallergic.com/pittsburgh-1/) at the Carnegie. Very, very nice.

\. [Roland Allmeyer](http://www.storefrontbk.com/exhibitnewwork.html?ref=hyperallergic.com) – Not digging the paint, but definitely digging the oil slick, which I guess means that I’m digging the painting. If you were wondering who was winning, the answer is here in all its inverted glory.

\. Jacob Cohen – If Wade Guyton had a baby with a Basquiat/Warhol collaboration this is what it would look like. This is a good thing, btw.

\. [Elisabet Davids](http://web.me.com/elisabetd/elisabet%5Fdavidsdottir%5Fphotography/Home.html?ref=hyperallergic.com) – Hard to photograph. Hidden heart. Lost, but not losing me.

\. Nelson Bradley – Oh, sad dumb America.

\. [Andrew Graham](http://andrewgrahamstudio.com/section/141026%5FCAPTCHAs.html?ref=hyperallergic.com) – IMEZRU. I don’t get it, but looking at his website I want to.

\. Fatima Algadin/Khalid Algaraballi – Prince + [Isahn](http://omimetal.wordpress.com/2010/01/29/interview-ihsahn-discusses-new-solo-album-his-past-with-emperor-and-black-metal/%22?ref=hyperallergic.com) \= bitmap

\. Legacy Russell – Checkered past.

\. [Eva Zuckerman](http://www.evazuckerman.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com) – Cue [Mike Mills](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18cjubhFSdk&ref=hyperallergic.com) on vox. Really like the flow of the line here. And the eyes. Save me.

\. [Andrew Mister](http://registry.whitecolumns.org/view%5Fartist.php?artist=9489&ref=hyperallergic.com) – Nice and punky. Punky and nice. [D.A.F.](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutsch-Amerikanische%5FFreundschaft?ref=hyperallergic.com)!!!

\. Kathryn Kerr – The big signature is cracking me up. And the black border. Actually, this whole painting is funny. It’s also good.

\. [Rebecca Watson Horn](http://rebeccawatsonhorn.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com) – Oh. That is tricky. Proportions. This is one sly painting.

\. [Rene Ricard](http://www.cheimread.com/artists/rene-ricard/?ref=hyperallergic.com) – Not objective about the guy that wrote “The Radiant Child.” But it’s more fun to look at than the Schnabel at the center of the show.

\. [Terry Richardson](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby%5FHuey?ref=hyperallergic.com) – The long bore.

\. Andy Meerow – Almost had me a couple times, but I never made the leap. Something though …

\. Theo Rosenblum – Weirdness not making up for brush skills.

\. [Ron Gorchov](http://www.brooklynrail.org/2008/11/artseen/ron-gorchov%5Fnob%5F08?ref=hyperallergic.com) – Very vaggy. Or very [Natasha Fatale](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natasha%5FFatale?ref=hyperallergic.com). Seriously. Tell me I’m not right. And tell me it’s not pretty awesome anyway.

\. E Hirsch – Yes. She is beautiful, and she is showing us her tit. That’s where it ends.

\. Lucia Vera – Must be an art school teacher.

\. [Nick Gaetano](http://www.nickgaetano.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com) – Oh, these are fabulous. Deep. Dark. Delicious. A winning trio.

\. Joshua Smith – Circles and a rectangle. To quote “[Don’t get excited](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0TnpYsEt14&ref=hyperallergic.com),” “Don’t get excited.” Although the placement helps things a bit.

\. [Rico Gatson](//pocketutopia.blogspot.com/2008/01/pocket-utopia-editions-print-with.html) – Blow. (Smartass funnyboy comments aside: Just to be clear. I liked this.)

\. Unknown – Whatever. The traces of light are cool. But aren’t they always?

\. Unknown – This wins for purity and form. And making me happy.

\. Christine Rebet – You know what I really liked? The 3 bits of black tape floating near the top. Great touch.

\. Unknown – NORMAL DESIRES. The Cheerios commercial, slapped the fuck down. Yaay.

\. [Ray Smith](http://www.artnet.com/artist/15760/ray-smith.html?ref=hyperallergic.com) – I’m supposed to like this, right? Let’s ask [Mikey](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYEXzx-TINc&ref=hyperallergic.com).

\. Unknown – Russian porn with Homeric puns. The Oddysee. The Illiad. What’s not to like about that?

\. Unknown – Little odd drawing. Goofy enough to live with. Or at least have in your office. I love this little monkey.

\. [Anne Rowland](http://ps1.org/studio-visit/artist/anne-rowland?ref=hyperallergic.com) – Sex in the ’burbs. Ouch.

\. Bryan Harrington – Black. Blossoming. Broken.

\. Unknown – Make fun of Julian Schnabel, the [Johnny Fingers](http://www.cyberspace7.btinternet.co.uk/imagejohnnie1large.jpg?ref=hyperallergic.com) of painting, and I’m on your side. Creative Time’s [Sarah Burkhart](http://www.creativetime.org/about/staff.html?ref=hyperallergic.com) pointed out the double fantasy genius of this piece. The photo is taken from the *NYTimes’* “[A Night Out With…](http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/06/fashion/06night.html?ref=hyperallergic.com)” The Bruce High Quality Foundation during the Miami art fairs last year.

\. Joao Enxuto – Wasn’t sure about this one until I looked through the camera lens. The perspective is kind of amazing. I kept looking in. It kept gently twisting my head.

\. [Blaze Lamper](http://oneartworld.com/artists/B/Blaze+Lamper.html?ref=hyperallergic.com) – El High. (Sorry. Inside educational publishing industry joke.)

\. Unknown – Nice buckles. But too sketchy.

\. Charles Sabba – Funny but not very interesting. Sometimes funny’s just not enough.

\. [Raina Hamner](http://www.bellwethergallery.com/artistsindex%5F01.cfm?fid=482&ref=hyperallergic.com) – This ghost is fucking me up. How did she do this? Floating in earthtones. Alive and kicking.

![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/51/f8/51f871d8-b6be-4a73-b958-0ca4fff0110a/content/images/hyperallergic-newspack-s3-amazonaws-com/uploads/2010/03/brucennial_094-100.jpg)

\. Eamon Monaghan – This is hilarious. And the paneling background adds to it.

\. [Liz-N-Val](http://www.liz-n-val.net/?ref=hyperallergic.com) – Decidedly *NOT* money.

\. Joe Kay – I like this more than I should.

\. [Coco Dolle](http://ps1.org/studio-visit/artist/coco-dolle?ref=hyperallergic.com) – Sometimes making it complicated makes it simple. Too simple.

\. Unknown – Big painting of woods. Not good.

\. [Cecilia Jurado](http://www.artslant.com/ny/events/show/44542-cecilia-jurado-oral-fixation?ref=hyperallergic.com) – Instant girls. Is that a tampon hanging off the “I”? Or is it a rabbit’s foot? Girls. Girls. Girls. This is, like, cold cold. And more than a little uncomfortable.

\. Nemo Librizzi – Jersey Shore. Or maybe Brighton Beach.

![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/51/f8/51f871d8-b6be-4a73-b958-0ca4fff0110a/content/images/hyperallergic-newspack-s3-amazonaws-com/uploads/2010/03/brucennial_101-106.jpg)

\. [Sofia Berinstein](http://sofiaberinstein.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com) – Reflected. Submerged. Reminds me of [old Vidna Obmana album covers](http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=121053&ref=hyperallergic.com) but with more filth and less emotional manipulation.

\. Max Snow – Well, alrighty, then. That video is downright scary. And the flag was done more effectively when Dave Phillips used the Nazi stars for his [*They Live*](http://www.discogs.com/Dave-Phillips-They-Live/release/1655921?ref=hyperallergic.com) album cover last year. Still not ho hum though.

\. [Julian Schnabel](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julian%5FSchnabel?ref=hyperallergic.com) – You’ll not hear me say this too often about a Schnabel painting, but … Love it. Simple. Direct. Neanderthal.

\. (illegible) Bahles – Duchampian comedy.

\. Unknown – Presbyterian box. Middle of the road.

\. Unknown – Why? Although this did answer the question regarding how many people will walk into suspended underpants if you hang them from a sculpture. (Answer: Everyone.)

\. Unknown – Sorry. I don’t get this stuff. I almost never get this stuff. It’s not you. It’s me.

\. Unknown – (Eggs. Nest.) Intimate, but not because of the whole nakedness thing.

\. [Man Bartlett](http://manbartlett.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com) – Even his name looks good. DIY invitation? Bondage. Freedom. Time to get out that [Merzbow classic](http://www.xtr.com/catalog/XCD-008/?ref=hyperallergic.com).

\. Kathy Garcia – Speaking of openings. Here are some really nicely drawn ones. HELLO!
