This Wednesday, October 10, the 11th annual [Bushwick Film Festival](https://www.bushwickfilmfestival.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com) begins, running through Sunday, October 14\. The festival consists of five days of screenings, panels, workshops, and parties, showcasing the works of primarily Brooklyn- and New York-based filmmakers, along with the works of international filmmakers from around the world.

On Wednesday, opening night kicks off with a red carpet reception and screening at the House of Yes, and throughout the weekend, there will be over 40 events to choose from and attend. The festival is also premiering five short documentaries by “young storytellers from Bushwick” who participated in the film project *Bushwick Stories.*
