This week, the annual [College Arts Association (CAA) Conference](http://collegeart.org/programs/conference/conference2019?ref=hyperallergic.com) comes back to New York for a week of talks, workshops, gallery tours, receptions, and more. The Conference takes place from February 13 through 16 and will feature over 300 sessions that cover a wide array of subjects on a number of global issues.

“A significant number of panels focused on Latin American and Asian art,” said Charlene Villaseñor Black, Professor of Ibero-American Art and Chicana/o Studies at UCLA and CAA Annual Conference Chair. “The coverage of US art was inclusive, with submissions highlighting Latinx, African American, Native American, and LGBTQ artists.”
