Ross, whose work evokes “profound vitality and pleasure” (*Art in America*), has gained notoriety for his ambitious, large-scale endeavors and technological innovations. While developing the piece “Harmonium Mountain,” he worked with animators to enhance a single high-resolution photograph of a landscape with 3D computer-generated elements.

St. Luke’s is an ensemble marked by “roving curiosity” and “stylistic flexibility” (*New York Times*) and a linchpin of the New York chamber music scene. Equally at home interpreting newly commissioned works and the central European canon, they are fast-rising musical omnivores with a knack for unconventional programming. To accompany “Harmonium Mountain,” Ross and St. Luke’s have devised a program featuring works by Antonio Vivaldi, Steve Reich, John Adams, Bryce Dessner, and Wojciech Kilar, including excerpts from Vivaldi’s celebrated *The Four Seasons* and Adams’s *Shaker Loops*.

The evening will feature Alan Pierson, conductor; Abigail Fischer, mezzo-soprano; and Krista Bennion Fenney, violin.

To begin the evening, cellist Jeffrey Zeigler of the Kronos Quartet teams up with percussionist Andy Akiho and poet Roger Bonair-Agard for a program of Philip Glass, John Zorn, and Paola Prestini.
