Since its founding in 2013, Los Angeles Contemporary Archive (LACA) has been dedicated to preserving and sharing material, documents, and ephemera related to contemporary art production, specifically highlighting artists and movements left out of traditional narratives. In keeping with this mission, they recently launched [*Common Ground*](https://lacarchive.com/calendar/upcoming?ref=hyperallergic.com), a series of conversations between participants from seemingly unrelated disciplines both within and outside the art world.

The second event in the series will feature Dr. Cynthia Wang, Assistant Professor of Communication Studies at Cal State LA and founder of digital LGBTQ storytelling platform [GlobaltraQs](http://www.globaltraqs.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com), and Nevin Kallepalli, artist, filmmaker, and co-curator of MOCA’s online film program SCREEN. The pair will discuss their work that explores hidden queer spaces and establishments that have re-conceptualized queer movements.

When: Friday, May 3, 7:30pm
Where: Los Angeles Contemporary Archive (LACA) (709 Hill St., ground floor courtyard, Chinatown, Los Angeles)
