Finding Where the Wild Things Are in a Brooklyn Basement
Underground in Kenny Scharf’s Cosmic Cavern, a Williamsburg basement covered from floor to ceiling with neon toys, furniture, disco-balls, and murals where Scharf holds dance parties, last Saturday night, I, along with about 250 attendees, traveled to the place where the wild things are with Michael Alan’s Living Installation.

Paris — I’m traveling today, so there may be less posts than usual but I couldn’t resist sharing one of the games I love to play in museums. I choose a theme, topic, color or some other attribute and walk through finding it in the collection.
On Bombshells and Public Art
A new Marilyn Monroe sculpture went up in Chicago but homegrown reaction to the sculpture has been “almost uniformly negative” … though you wouldn’t know if you were checking Flickr.
