Back again from London, [**The Lost Lectures**](http://www.thelostlectures.com/events/lost-lectures-ny-number-two/?ref=hyperallergic.com) returns to New York this Friday, **June 5\.** 

Prepare for a night of fascinating talks and unique performances in a secret former ship-building warehouse somewhere in the [**Brooklyn Navy Yard**](https://www.google.com/search?q=brooklyn+navy+yard&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=3S9vVYe2BsGEsAXFsYGICw&ved=0CAgQ%5FAUoAg&biw=1762&bih=1218) (usually way off limits to the public!). A gonzo journalist, an indie musician, a literary pioneer, a NYPD-busting busker, an award-winning filmmaker, a world-renowned artist, and an urban explorer join the fold in what will be our most ambitious production to date. Our killer lineup features:

- **Blonde Redhead’s** **Kazu Makino**, who will be surprising the crowd with never-before-seen material (it’s even a secret to us)
- gonzo journalist **Jon Ronson**, who’s best known for his investigation into public shaming
- indie filmmaker **Josephine Decker**, who’ll be presenting an immersive and interactive performance
- NYC busker-turned-activist **Andrew Kalleen**, who will bring a troupe of street musicians for a show-stopping performance
- internationally renowned visual artist **Diana Al-Hadid**, who’ll discuss her work and influences, from caves to gravity and space
- poet, novelist, and artist **Tao Lin**, who has just published a new book with poet Mira Gonzalez, *Selected Tweets*, that will surely generate discussion
- NYC urban explorer **Steve Duncan**, who will share secrets of the city’s underground

Attendees will enjoy free beer by **Brooklyn Brewery**, cider by **Rekorderlig**, and **ZICO Coconut Water**. We even have a specially designed **Moleskine** notebook giveaway for the first 100 guests.

If you come hungry, **Zia Green Chile Company** and **Butter and Scotch** will be on site providing food. The site is a short walk from the subway, but we’ll also have a bike valet on hand (thanks **Transportation Alternatives** and **Spinlister**!) and parking for those who need it.

We promise you will be wowed by the view and the venue, which slowly transforms into a visual wonderland at night. See the image above for a glimpse of the secret space …
