Greenpoint Open Studios is an annual event offering [an intimate look at the diverse and thriving art scene in North Brooklyn](https://hyperallergic.com/your-concise-guide-to-the-2014-greenpoint-open-studios/). This year, 265 artists opened their doors for two full days in locations spread across the neighborhood. For many participants this event was a chance not only to meet potential patrons and art enthusiasts but also their fellow artists next door. Works on view ranged widely, from painting and sculpture to textiles and floral design.

Studio spaces were equally varied — some artists make due in a space the size of a closet, while others enjoy comparatively gargantuan lofts. Many were prepared with beverages and snacks for visitors while others simply continued work as usual, allowing guests a unique look at their process.
