Daffy Duck turned 80 last month. An article in *Mother Jones* from April 2014 included these words in its title, “Daffy Duck, Glorious Archetype of Selfishness.” The article goes on to say, “Daffy became the crafty, scheming, plotting back-stabber who, motivated by unrestrained selfishness, will do anything to get what he wants, but in the end always comes up short.”
