Announcing an exciting new series, ***Hyperallergic ArtTalk***. Starting Monday, May 20, Hyperallergic will invite a leading voice to spark discussion, debate, and further action about an evolving idea or project that they are passionate about in the world of art.

Our inaugural event will feature [**Klaus Biesenbach**](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klaus%5FBiesenbach?ref=hyperallergic.com), director of MoMA PS1 and chief curator at large at The Museum of Modern Art, to speak about [*Expo 1: New York*](http://www.momaps1.org/expo1/?ref=hyperallergic.com) and the ideas behind the ambitious “exploration of ecological challenges in the context of the economic and socio-political instability of the early 21st century.”

Expanding the definition of festival-as-institution, *EXPO 1: New York* imagines a contemporary art museum dedicated to ecological concerns through the prism of interventions, solo projects, and group exhibitions, while including a school, a colony, a cinema, a geodesic dome, the Rain Room, and more.

The intimate event will take place at [The Bedford](http://thebedfordonbedford.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com) (110 Bedford Avenue, entrance on North 11th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211), 7–9pm.
