Organized by longtime New York City-based purveyor of art books and ephemera [Printer Matter](https://www.printedmatter.org/?ref=hyperallergic.com), the [LA Art Book Fair](http://laartbookfair.net/?ref=hyperallergic.com) returns to the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA this weekend for its fifth annual edition. The event kicks off Thursday with a three-hour opening night preview featuring performances from retro-glam-queer-punk musician and artist [Seth Bogart](http://sethbogart.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com) and legendary downtown New York performance art rocker [Kembra Pfahler](https://whitney.org/www/2008biennial/www/?section=artists&page=artist%5Fkarenblack&ref=hyperallergic.com). Continuing through Sunday, the fair will present over 300[ artist-run presses, antiquarian booksellers, and independent publishers](http://laartbookfair.net/exhibitors/?ref=hyperallergic.com) from all over the US and abroad. A full program of [talks, workshops, and performances ](http://laartbookfair.net/events/?ref=hyperallergic.com)will take place throughout the weekend, featuring artist [Peter Coffin](http://petercoffinstudio.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com), artist and rapper [Yung Jake](http://yungjake.tumblr.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com), and a keynote address from LA Art Book Fair founder [AA Bronson](http://www.aabronson.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com), among others. Tickets to Thursday night’s preview are $10 (admission is free Friday–Sunday) and include a [limited edition ticket](https://www.printedmatter.org/catalog/46868/?ref=hyperallergic.com) designed by Mike Mills and [Experimental Jetset](http://www.experimentaljetset.nl/?ref=hyperallergic.com) that simply states the vote lead by which Hillary Clinton won the popular vote.
