While we are unable to offer in-person tours, Bard College undergraduate classes are currently taking place on campus and in-person with COVID-19 protocols. Bard MFA plans to be back on the Bard College campus for the summer 2021 session.

Founded in 1981 as the first of its kind, [The Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts](https://bit.ly/3dwt6CF?ref=hyperallergic.com) low-residency MFA brings together students and faculty in six disciplines: painting, film/video, sculpture, photography, music/sound, and writing for a unique summer program. Students are immersed in a diverse community of artists for three 8-week summer sessions interspersed with winter independent study. Summer sessions take place on the Bard College campus, two hours north of NYC on the banks of the Hudson River.

Each summer, [Bard MFA](https://bit.ly/3dwt6CF?ref=hyperallergic.com) welcomes a faculty of over 40 accomplished artists, to engage in critiques, seminars, caucuses, and individual conferences with our students. They are joined by visiting artists, representing all six disciplines.
