BushwickBK’s Stephen Truax, who also contributes to this blogazine, [reports on Luhring Augustine’s new Bushwick space](http://bushwickbk.com/2010/12/20/chelsea-gallery-buys-into-bushwick/?ref=hyperallergic.com):

> Luhring Augustine will be doing extensive renovations on the building to house artwork, and the result will be “a nicely designed Chelsea-like viewing space,” said senior preparator Donovan Barrow, including polished concrete floors, skylights, and climate control.

A 2,500-square-foot exhibition space would be a first for Bushwick, though it’s not clear if it will be open to the public or just collectors.

According to [Crain’s New York](http://www.crainsnewyork.com/article/20101210/REAL%5FESTATE/101219993?ref=hyperallergic.com), the gallery got a deal as the asking price was $2.6 million.
