[Massachusetts College of Art and Design](http://bit.ly/2XGVywV?ref=hyperallergic.com) is proud to present the [2019 MassArt MFA Summer Thesis Exhibition](http://bit.ly/2xOMYg6?ref=hyperallergic.com), which will showcase the work of nine graduate students in the final year of their Low-Residency MFA Program in Interdisciplinary Practice. The work on view will stem from a variety of media, including sculpture, multimedia installation, and live performance.

Participating artists include [Melody Albright](http://www.uncomfortablecorrespondence.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com), [Vasilisa Gladysheva](http://www.vasilisa-gladysheva.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com), [Ruth Henry](http://www.ruthkhenry.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com), [Kevin Long](http://www.kevinlongart.weebly.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com), [Geena Lopes](http://instagram.com/canvas%5Fcurls?ref=hyperallergic.com), [Melissa McGrath](http://www.melissamcgrath.work/?ref=hyperallergic.com), [Hasnat Mehmood](http://www.instagram.com/studio.hasnatmehmood?ref=hyperallergic.com), [Jeff Mentuck](http://www.mentuckglass.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com), and [Lauren Young](http://www.laurenyoungart.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com). Their work draws on themes ranging from landscape and environmental trauma; to the human brain; to how to have uncomfortable conversations.

The exhibition will be on view from July 22 – August 8, 2019 at MassArt’s [Design and Media Center](http://bit.ly/2JAmwNO?ref=hyperallergic.com), (621 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA, 02115). A reception will be held on Friday August 2 from 6 – 8 pm. Both the exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. Regular gallery hours are 10 am – 5 pm Monday through Saturday.
