Carroll Dunham, Kyle Staver.

Recently featured in *Artforum*’s August 2018 issue, Dunham and Staver, according to author Dan Nadel, “investigate and foreground eros in the broadest sense—as life force, joy, and polymorphous perversity . . . both at the level of representation and in their exploration of the vitality and sensuality of making.”

Dunham + Staver is part of the [NAD’s 2018 Fall Public Program series](http://bit.ly/2yHQ4CA?ref=hyperallergic.com). This October 23 salon will feature a dynamic discussion and celebration of these two American artists.

Launched in 2017, NAD’s public programming has featured an extraordinary group of artists and architects, including: Judith Bernstein, Mickalene Thomas, Odili Donald Odita, Dread Scott, Eric Fischl, Dana Schutz, Peter Saul, Julie Heffernan, and Wendy Evans Joseph.

Since its founding in 1825, the NAD has enriched and educated countless generations, while preserving and sharing work with the public, all with a simple yet powerful mission “to promote American art and architecture through exhibition and instruction.” Today, the NAD is a global arts institution with an eye toward the future – creating a blueprint for the 21st century through vibrant new programming, dynamic partnerships, unique exhibitions, innovative education, unique resources, and more.

[Dunham + Staver](http://bit.ly/2EnQ5le?ref=hyperallergic.com) takes place on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 6:30 pm followed by an Artists’ Champagne Reception at 7:30 pm.
