**Foundwork – 2022 Foundwork Artist Prize**  
The honoree will receive an unrestricted $10,000 grant and studio visits with this year’s distinguished jurors: Edgar Arceneaux, César García-Alvarez, Lauren Kelly, Eva Langret, and Javier Peres. Artists must be Foundwork members to be considered ($4/month, cancel anytime).

**Joyce Foundation – 2023 Joyce Awards**

**Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) – Manhattan Arts Grants**  
Calling Manhattan-based artists and cultural organizations! Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s grant opportunities provide awards of up to $10,000 for public projects and presentations in 2023.

**Awesome Foundation – On the Water Grants**  
Open to applications from around the world, these monthly $1,000 grants go to water-focused projects that are creative, culturally relevant, and inclusive.

**Canadian Women Artists’ Award**  
Three women artists who have Canadian citizenship and currently reside in New York State will receive $5,000 grants. The categories are Literary Arts, Media and Design, and Visual Arts.

Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation – **Curator Peer Network And Innovation Grants**  
Peer Network Grants are available to support networks that advance curatorial knowledge and strengthen curatorial practices, while Innovation Grants support curatorial projects or initiatives previously unexplored or underfunded.

**Paris Photo–Aperture 2022 PhotoBook Awards**  
The photographer(s)/artist(s) whose first finished, publicly available photobook is judged to be the best of the year will be awarded $10,000\. Entry fees vary by category but range between $30 and $60.

**Banff Centre – Emerging Banff Artist in Residence 2023**  
Banff Artist in Residence (BAiR) Emerging is an immersive program designed for emerging visual artists exploring self-directed research themes and cultivating new directions in their work. The application fee is $65 ($35 for applicants who identify as Indigenous).

**Smithsonian American Art Museum – *Toward Equity in Publishing***  
Through editorial mentorship and workshops, this professional development program by the peer-reviewed journal *American Art* aims to demystify scholarly publication and help scholars revise manuscripts. **Smithsonian American Art Museum – 2023–2024 Research Fellowships**  
Available at graduate, doctoral, postdoctoral, and senior levels, residential fellowships at SAAM and its Renwick Gallery support full-time independent research and study on US art, craft, and visual culture. **Harvard Radcliffe Fellowship Program**  
Fellows are in residence for a period of nine months from September 1, 2023, through May 31, 2024, and receive a stipend of $78,000 plus an additional $5,000 to cover project expenses.

**Lower East Side Printshop – Keyholder Residencies**  
Eight emerging artists will receive one year of free 24-hour access to the Lower East Side Printshop’s printmaking facilities to develop new work and foster their careers, plus a $1,000 stipend.

**Metropolitan Museum of Art – Civic Practice Partnership**  
The 2023–25 Civic Practice Partnership Artist-in-Residence Program is for socially engaged artists and art collectives based in NYC whose work focuses on BIPOC communities. There is a $40,000 honorarium.

**Queens Museum – In Situ Artist Fellowship**  
The artists selected for this two-year fellowship will receive rent-free studio space at the museum, an annual salary of $45,000 with full benefits, and a solo exhibition in Spring 2024.

## Open Calls for Art & Writing

***Gulf Coast* – 2022 Beauchamp Prize in Critical Art Writing**  
Judged by curator Legacy Russell. The author of the winning essay will receive $3,000 and be published in *Gulf Coast*’s printed journal. Two runners-up will be awarded $1,000 each.

**CLC – Greenport Conservation Area Request for Proposals**  
Artists are invited to submit proposals to create a new kiosk, a gazebo, or a river-themed art trail at the GCA in Greenport, New York. Compensation for each project ranges from $5,000 to $27,000.

**Denver Public Art – Request for Qualifications**  
The City of Denver’s Public Art Program seeks to commission original works by Colorado-based artists or artist teams for three different sites around the city. Project budgets range from $20,000 to $100,000.

**RISCA – URI Fine Arts Center Request for Qualifications**  
Rhode Island State Council on the Arts invites professional artists to submit their qualifications to create a new public artwork for the University of Rhode Island’s Fine Arts Center. The budget is $360,000.

**Getty Marrow Emerging Professionals Pilot Program**  
The Getty Foundation’s new pilot program funds a variety of two-year full-time positions at 10 Los Angeles arts institutions for emerging arts professionals from historically underrepresented groups.
