**Erie Canal Museum & New York State Canal Corporation – 2025 Erie Canal Artists in Residence**  
Seeking photographic projects that reflect on the Erie Canal’s past, contemplate its present, and consider its future. Projects focused on ecology and Indigenous history are preferred. Two selected artists will each receive a $10,000 stipend.

Funding MFAs and all full-time graduate degrees, the $90,000 Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans is the premier graduate school fellowship for immigrants and children of immigrants in the United States. **Center for Book Arts – 2025 Artist-in-Residence Program**  
Six New York-based artists will receive space, time, and financial support for a year-long residency focused on artists’s books. The program offers a $1,500 stipend, up to $6,000 in tuition waivers for CBA courses, and 24-hour access to printing and binding studios.

**Collar Works – Elizabeth Murray Artist Residency**  
Held on a 77-acre farm in Granville, New York, this residency offers studio space, meals, housing, and more. It includes a $250 stipend for two- and four-week individual residencies, and a $500 stipend for the one-week family residency.

**Design Trust for Public Space – 2024–2025 Photo Urbanism Fellow**  
New York City-based photographers are invited to apply for this 10-month fellowship to contribute their unique perspectives on an equitable water future for the city. Artists will receive a $15,000 stipend and will create a solo exhibition.

**Golden Foundation Residency**  
Up to three artists working with paint will participate in each four-week session in Central New York, where they will enjoy private apartments, large studio spaces, and unlimited access to Golden Artist Colors materials. The application fee is $30.

**Harvard Radcliffe Institute Fellowship Program**  
Fellows are in residence for a period of nine months, from September 2025 through May 2026, and receive a stipend of $78,000 plus an additional $5,000 to cover project expenses.

**Lewis Center for the Arts at Princeton University – Hodder Fellowships**  
Open to artists demonstrating “much more than ordinary intellectual and literary gifts,” applicants are selected more “for promise than for performance.” Fellows receive a $92,000 stipend to pursue an independent project over one academic year, no teaching required.

**Lewis Center for the Arts at Princeton University – Princeton Arts Fellowships**  
Open to early-career artists demonstrating extraordinary promise, fellows receive a $92,000 yearly stipend and benefits to spend two academic years at Princeton as active community members, engaging in formal teaching or alternate assignments.

**University of Saskatchewan – Creative Research Fellowship**  
Established to continue the mission of the international journal *The Structurist*, this fellowship supports creative work and research at the intersection of art and ecology. Projects can receive a budget of up to $20,000 (CAD).

## Open Calls for Art & Writing

**MTA Arts & Design –** **Call for Artists: LIRR Babylon Station**  
MTA Arts & Design is seeking images of previous artwork for a new glass and mosaic installation at Babylon Station in New York. Finalists will receive a $1,250 honorarium, and a fabricator will create the final artwork.

**SPIE – International Day of Light Photo Contest**  
Photographers of all levels are invited to submit work to this year’s theme, “The Power of Light,” which explores the impact of light on our lives, communities, and planet. Cash prizes range from $750 to $2,500.

**The University of Chicago Press Journals – *Metropolitan Museum Journal***  
Published annually, this double-blind, peer-reviewed scholarly journal invites original research on the history, interpretation, conservation, and scientific examination of artworks in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s collection.

**Women’s Studies Quarterly – Call for Papers: *Body Matters***  
This peer-reviewed journal welcomes interdisciplinary submissions exploring the literary, theoretical, and cultural responses to a question posed by poet Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha: “Where does the future live in your body?” Selected works will be published in the fall of 2025.

The honoree receives a $10,000 grant and studio visits with jurors Rachel Uffner, Lorraine Kiang, Monsieur Zohore, Mohamed Almusibli, and Olivia Aherne. Three artists will be shortlisted. Artists must be Foundwork members to be considered ($4/month with the option to cancel after the three-month prize selection period).

***Places Journal* – On the Brinck | Places Prize**

**The Ian Parry Photojournalism Grant**

**viennacontemporary x Queer Art Spaces Vienna – Queer Art Prize** **2024**  
Queer artists are invited to submit one artwork for a chance to be showcased at this year’s viennacontemporary art fair and win a cash prize: €1,000 for first place, and €500 each for second and third.
