- **Open AIR**, a new program from the **Alliance of Artist Communities,** is accepting applications for a no-cost **residency** **program** that pairs artists with residency sites including a historical museum, a community sustainability center, a biological research station, and others. - **A.I.R. Gallery** in New York City welcomes artists to submit work and curatorial **proposals** **for** **exhibitions**, to be reviewed by the artists and art professionals on its exhibitions committee. - **Art Connects New York**, in collaboration with residents of **NYCHA**’s Robert Fulton Houses, will host its first **Participatory Art Fair** in Chelsea, Manhattan on June 1\. They have asked artists to submit proposals for the one-day fair that build upon the social, environmental, and artistic experiences addressing experiences important to the local community, including social gathering spaces for seniors and youth; public artwork; and gardens. - **Dance/USA**, the national association for professional dance, is accepting applications for the eighth annual **Dance/USA Institute for Leadership Training**. Early-career dance leaders are invited to apply. Dance/USA says the program “has a specific focus on supporting individuals of African, Latinx, Asian, Arab, and Native American descent; individuals with disabilities or working in physically integrated dance; and individuals from a diversity of gender identities including transgender, agender, gender fluid, genderqueer, etc.” Applications are due **March 3**. \[[Dance/USA](https://www.danceusa.org/danceusa-announces-eighth-annual-institute-leadership-training?ref=hyperallergic.com)**\]**
- The **Enterprise Rose Fellowship** is accepting applications for its program, which partners **architectural designers and socially-engaged arts and cultural practitioners** with community development organizations, to teach mission-driven real estate development, community organizing, and policy. Rose Fellows receive salary and benefits for the two-year fellowship. - **International photography publication *Foam Magazine*** launched a call for visual artists to apply to its “**Foam Talent Call**.” Applicants submit their work for consideration in the publication’s Talent issue in December 2019, and to be featured in Foam’s traveling exhibition in 2020\. - **MTA Arts & Design** in New York City is asking musicians and performers to apply to perform at **Music Under New York**, also called **MTA MUSIC**. Applications are due **March 22**. \[[MTA](http://web.mta.info/mta/aft/about/calldocs/MUSIC-CALL%202019-final.pdf?ref=hyperallergic.com)\]
- The **PASEO festival**, which brings installation, performance, and projection to Taos, New Mexico is seeking applicants for artwork that can be installed/shown/projected/performed at the outdoor festival on September 13 and 14\. This year’s theme is “Connections.” Artists must be on site sunset–11pm daily. Applications are due March 7\. \[[PASEO](http://paseoproject.org/call-for-artists/?ref=hyperallergic.com)\]
- **The Studio Museum in Harlem** is accepting applications for its **2019–20 Artist-in-Residence** program. The program specifically serves emerging artists of African and Latin American descent. - The **Tin House Summer Workshop** is accepting applications to attend its weeklong intensive of workshops, seminars, panels, and readings led by prominent contemporary writers. They offer scholarships for graphic narrative writers of color; previously incarcerated writers; single parents; emerging writers; immigrants living in the United States; and students or alumni of the Institute of American Indian Arts MFA program. \[[Tin House](https://tinhouse.com/workshop/summer-workshop/?ref=hyperallergic.com)\]
- The **Queens Museum** (QM) is accepting applications for its fourth **QM-Jerome Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Artists**. Two visual artists living in the five boroughs of New York City will receive $20,000 each, as well as professional development consultations and close mentorship from museum staff, to work toward an artist’s project. The year-long fellows will show their work in exhibitions at the Queens Museum in 2020\. - **VisArts**, a non-profit community arts organization in Rockville, Maryland is accepting applications from local, national, and international artists for a six-month **studio fellowship**. Selected artists also receive a $500 per month stipend. - **The Women’s Center for Creative Work** has launched **Co—Conspirator Press,** a space for feminist content through the practice of self-publishing. They have announced their first open call for proposals from artists, designers, and/or writers centering around the idea of how a workbook can “further an intersectional feminist agenda.” Applications are due **March 29**. \[[WCCW](https://cocopress.womenscenterforcreativework.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com)\]
- The **Walker Art Center** has launched an **Indigenous Public Art Commission**, a project inviting proposals for new public artwork to be placed in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden or a location on the Walker campus in the fall of 2020\. The institution is seeking knowledge keepers, contemporary artists, or traditional artists interested in making public art to submit proposals for individual or collaborative work. Artwork considered can be sculptural; incorporate disciplines such as audiovisual or installation art; or include traditionally sourced materials.
