Outrage over the current US administration has mobilized people in the country ina way not seen in decades, if ever, as millions have taken to the streets to express their anger and dismay. The [Artists’ Political Action Network](https://www.facebook.com/events/283023698806384/)was formed at a November 10, 2016 meeting at the Hammer Museum with the intention of harnessing the power of the creative community todirect political change. The organizing body includes artists Kathryn Andrews, [Andrea Fraser](https://hyperallergic.com/when-institutional-critique-doesnt-go-far-enough/), Charles Gaines, Liz Glynn, [Tala Madani](https://hyperallergic.com/paintings-that-ridicule-and-lampoon-all-powerful-men/), Monica Majoli, Laura Owens, and architect Kulapat Yantrasast. All of those who consider themselves part of the larger Los Angeles art community — whether they are artists or not — are invited to this Sunday’s [organizing meeting](http://356mission.tumblr.com/post/156723801920/the-artists-political-action-network-issues-a?ref=hyperallergic.com), which will aim to create information sharing networks, working groups to focus on specific issues, and concrete ways to channel a passion to “[effect meaningful change in our communities, at the state level, and nationally](http://356mission.tumblr.com/post/156723801920/the-artists-political-action-network-issues-a?ref=hyperallergic.com).”
