# Pacific Northwest College of Art Presents Trans*Geographies

From November 7 to 9, [*Trans\*Geographies*](https://bit.ly/3YsY2ve?ref=hyperallergic.com) will take place at the [Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA)](https://bit.ly/4hrXnCY?ref=hyperallergic.com), featuring keynote talks, workshops, panel discussions, and art exhibitions that highlight how race, class, and geography impact trans lives.

The symposium kicks off with a keynote by artist and advocate [Molly Jae Vaughan](http://www.fineartvaughan.com/?ref=hyperallergic.com), followed by contributions from scholars [Sa Whitley](https://search.asu.edu/profile/4505374?ref=hyperallergic.com), Robin Maril, and Sloane McNulty, who will lead discussions on systemic inequities and inspire actionable change.

## Event Highlights

- **Thursday, November 7**: Opening reception featuring Vaughan’s work and a student-curated exhibition, with open studios showcasing MFA and BFA projects.
- **Friday, November 8**: Molly Jae Vaughan’s screen printing workshop, followed by Sa Whitley’s keynote, "Black Trans Geographies," exploring the creation of Black femme spaces. The day will conclude with a networking reception with community partners.
- **Saturday, November 9**: A walkthrough of the student exhibition, a Riso zine-making workshop, and Robin Maril’s keynote on queer possibilities, followed by a roundtable discussion on the future of trans research and activism.
