# SCAD presents deFINE ART 2017, a Program of Exhibitions, Performances, and Talks

The Savannah College of Art and Design presents [deFINE ART](http://bit.ly/2k8RkFw?ref=hyperallergic.com), the university’s annual program of exhibitions, lectures, performances, and public events. The program highlights emerging and established artists and visionaries, and takes place between February 21–24 at SCAD locations in Savannah and Atlanta, Georgia, and Hong Kong.

World-renowned artist Carlos Cruz-Diez is this year’s deFINE ART honoree. A major protagonist in the eld of Kinetic and Op Art, Cruz-Diez established himself as a key 20th-century thinker in the realm of color. Cruz-Diez’s latest exhibition, *Chroma*, is on view Tuesday, February 21 through Sunday, August 20, at the SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah.

In addition, deFINE ART features exhibitions by Hernan Bas, Omar Victor Diop, Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian, Glen Fogel, José Parlá, Chiharu Shiota, William Singer, Hank Willis Thomas, Summer Wheat and group exhibitions, *Oversaturated*, *Take Note* and *Catalyst: Master Prints by Pace Prints*.
