# SCAD Presents Free Lectures, Exhibitions and Performances at deFINE ART 2018

The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) presents [SCAD deFINE ART 2018](http://bit.ly/2swofO0?ref=hyperallergic.com), an annual program of lectures, exhibitions and performances that highlights emerging and established artists and visionaries. Held in university locations in Savannah and Atlanta, Georgia, and Hong Kong, February 20–23, 2018, deFINE ART features new exhibitions exclusively curated for this event.

This year’s honorees and keynote speakers are renowned artists Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller. The artists are internationally known for their immersive multimedia sound installations and innovative audio/video walks. While Cardiff and Miller have established individual careers, their exhibition *Two Works* includes two major collaborative installations, *Opera for a Small Room* and *Experiment in F# Minor* on view at the SCAD Museum of Art.

Other exhibiting artists include Tom Burr, Pia Camil, Mariana Castillo Deball, Christopher Chiappa, Yang Fudong, Shine Huang, Toyin Ojih Odutola, Paola Pivi, Melissa Spitz, Lily van der Stokker, and Wendy White. The event also features two group exhibitions, *Alter Ego* and *This Land Is Your Land*, which include work by SCAD alumni, faculty and students.

Celebrate fine art through receptions with internationally esteemed artists, performances and an array of fascinating artist talks and lectures.
