# Sotheby's Art Handlers Resolve Contract Dispute: IT'S OVER!

Teamsters Local 814, which represents the 42 workers of the Sotheby’s art handlers’ union, has settled their 10-month dispute with the Sotheby’s auction house.

Crain’s New York [reports](http://www.crainsnewyork.com/article/20120531/LABOR%5FUNIONS/120539969?ref=hyperallergic.com#ixzz1wVdqN1pR) that the three-year deal, reached in the last week, boosts wages 1% in each year, lifts the starting salary to $18.50 an hour, and maintains the workers’ benefits.
