The [MA Curatorial Practice](http://pubads.g.doubleclick.net/gampad/clk?id=107414706&iu=/16307266/hyp%5F1x1) program at the School of Visual Arts in New York is now [accepting applications](http://pubads.g.doubleclick.net/gampad/clk?id=107414946&iu=/16307266/hyp%5F1x1) for next September’s incoming class of master’s degree students. Merit-based supporting fellowships are available to select students.

International curators, directors, artists, writers, and theorists are among the [faculty](http://pubads.g.doubleclick.net/gampad/clk?id=107415186&iu=/16307266/hyp%5F1x1) and speakers who we have hosted in our Chelsea art district space, such as Adam Weinberg, Tania Bruguera, Maria Lind, Shirin Neshat, Hou Hanru, Thierry de Duve, Christiane Paul, Joan Jonas, Terry Smith, Gabi Ngcobo, José Roca, Pablo Helguera, Glenn Ligon, Sarah Demeuse, Brian Kuan Wood, Joshua Decter, Dara Birnbaum, Anne Barlow, David Ross, Kate Fowle, Charles Renfro, and Stéphane Aquin.

The program’s collaborations with Independent Curators International, Triangle Workshop, artinfo.com, the Zurich University of the Arts, and other international institutions lead directly to exhibitions and publications that students add to their professional CVs. Students have held internships at MoMA, the Whitney Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, the Kitchen, KW in Berlin, Bold Tendencies in London, SALT in Istanbul, NTU Centre for Contemporary Art in Singapore, and many other leading museums and art centers.

[SVA’s Curatorial Practice program](http://pubads.g.doubleclick.net/gampad/clk?id=107414706&iu=/16307266/hyp%5F1x1) trains curators with a hands-on approach. Students work with leading curators, making exhibitions and other curatorial projects, delving into history and theory, while doing thorough practical training. Upcoming events include the special series of panels titled “Local Address,” focusing on urgent cultural and sociopolitical situations today around the world, featuring the directors of institutions from Beijing, Bogotá, Johannesburg, Barbados, and Beirut.
