The Clemente Soto Velez Cultural and Educational Center is hosting its annual [Building-Wide Visual & Performing Arts Open Studios](http://bit.ly/2qdf0Qm?ref=hyperallergic.com) on Friday, May 19, from 6 to 9pm and Saturday, May 20, from 2 to 9pm, featuring performance, dance, and musical events. All events are FREE and open to the public.

Come explore this culturally diverse community, which houses 11 visual and performing arts organizations and over 46 visual artists’ studios in the beautiful former PS 160 designed by Charles B. J. Snyder in the Dutch neo-gothic style in 1897.

In addition, there will be two gallery exhibitions, *Unknown and Unidentified:* *Art and artifacts from the ABC No Rio Collection* in the Abrazo Gallery, located on the 2nd floor, and an exhibition of sculptural works by resident and guest artists in the LES Gallery, located on the 1st floor (both May 6–25).

A capoeira warrior stick performance, followed by a class for children and teens, an open drum circle, and the Visionary Youth Orchestra are only some of the free events in the Clemente’s Flamboyan theater.
