Advanced Standing MFA — apply December 1st for January start, fast-track to our low-residency Studio PhD. Scholarships are available.

Our international, flexible MFA understands each student (not any “educator”) is the expert on where praxis might lead. Residencies in Berlin and New York with year-long one-on-one advisements.

Transart’s unique Studio PhD — changing how artists think, speak, and write about their work — recognizes practice as research; acknowledging imagination, creative thinking, problem-solving, and making/social action as vital forms of knowledge. By thinking differently, we act differently.

At the Summer Academy typically mid-career artists/curators get a creative surge; revitalize their practice, gain fresh perspectives; strike out in new directions. Join graduate/doctoral workshops, lectures, critiques, exhibitions, events. We help design self-study programs and advise on MFA or PhD proposals.

Transartists exhibit, publish, perform and discuss with their international community.
