# Stamps School of Art & Design Opens MFA in Fine Art Applications for Fall 2021

The Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan, ranked among the top eight graduate schools in the nation for art and design by the 2020 *U.S. News and World Report*, is currently accepting [MFA in Art applications](https://bit.ly/3jJcYiP?ref=hyperallergic.com) for Fall 2021\. 

Idea and material work together at Stamps, as the curriculum supports students in the creation of culturally relevant work with a clearly articulated context. Stamps MFA candidates are not bound by the constraints of media-specific majors, freeing them to make use of the University of Michigan’s rich academic community to conduct research and make inquiries when creating studio and post-studio work. Over the course of the two-year program, students produce a written thesis and exhibit work at the Stamps Gallery in downtown Ann Arbor.
