On Thursday, in the single most destructive [act](https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/01/opinion/trump-paris-climate-accord.html?emc=eta1&ref=hyperallergic.com) of his catastrophic presidency, Donald Trump pulled the US out of the global climate accord, calling himself the representative of Pittsburgh and not Paris. To which the mayor of Pittsburgh, Bill Peduto, replied in a [tweet](https://twitter.com/billpeduto/status/870370288344674304?ref=hyperallergic.com): “I can assure you that we will follow the guidelines of the Paris Agreement for our people, our economy & future.”
